2025 Take a Hike: Summer Series tour

June + July | Thursdays | 6pm

Established in 1826, Erie Street Cemetery serves as the burial ground for many of Cleveland’s pioneer families and military veterans of the Revolutionary War and Civil War.  This tour will begin inside the East 9th Street entrance with a conversation about the lives of Cleveland’s first permanent settlers.  Among the tour’s highlights will be the stories of 19th century civil rights pioneer John Malvin and Native American Joc-O-Sot, also known as Walking Bear.

A special tour is being offered during Cleveland Buried History Days. Tickets are $15 and include hot cider, cookies and a Take a Hike drawstring bag, koozie and flashlight! Space is limited.
